Coming off a 14-hour flight, we were both jet-lagged and eager to walk around. We had night days in Prague and then we would be off to our next destination. The first thing we did was look for food. I was pleasantly surprised by how many different Asian cuisines. Our hostel recommended this great Thai place that hit the spot right after a long flight.
Our first full day in Prague and we started with heading to a little cafe near a big market. After were all caffeinated we started walking around. And when I say walking around, our first full day in Prague we walked 8 miles. We definitely needed a nap after that.
For our second day, we decided to do a free three-hour walking tour that our hostel shared with us. We learned so much about the city and the people. Before getting to Prague I didn’t know how much they were involved in the Holocaust. Once the walking tour was over a group of us decided to go over the Charles Bridge and man let me tell you it was stunning. Pictures do not do this place justice.
For our last day in Prague, we decided to go to the gothic cathedral and the Prague castle. You climb the stairs all the way to the top. If you aren’t up for the stairs they have a lift but we were feeling ambitious. Once you get to the top you see the tips of the cathedral. We couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. We found a bench and just looked and listened. Looked at the beautiful craftsmanship and listen to the bells every 30mins.
Prague was beautiful and I can’t wait to return.
